The warehouse of the customs and excise museum is located within walking distance from the Finance centre Noordster in Antwerp. Besides, it was at the time of the massive relocation - at the end of 2010 - that we united (almost) all pieces of the collection under the same roof for the first time. That was a large step forward, as the collection was spread over a dozen of locations, even outside of Antwerp. Now, more than 10,000 artefacts are kept in the main warehouse. These pieces are extremely divergent and each of them has its own specific necessities. Consequently, the Working group Warehouse has many things to do in order to maintain and manage these artefacts.

Access to the warehouse is not admitted. However, on request, the objects in our warehouse can be lend out to our heritage partners.
